We built the raised bed, added the garden compost, and plunked our little plants in the ground. Also we planted a bunch of seedlings for Charis to have lots of flowers to pick and arrange this summer ~ one her favorite pass-times.
We are going to add a few plants that are more mature, but it was fun to grow some from seeds.

I just love to garden and your kids will too when they grow up because of the experiences they are having now with you!
When I was in high school, I used to think my parents were so lame for being out in the garden all the time...now I so wish I would have paid a little closer attention :o)
Oh, I'm jealous yours is done! I just told my husband that we need to do one SOON! I think it will be a great way to get my 3 yr. old to eat some veggies!
It worked for my now 12 yr. old.
